So work has been busy lately so I haven't had much time to write- which is a good thing! The office has been busy with things for us to do, so that has been good. Work with the Pre-College program has been VERY busy, which is sort of good. Some of the High Schoolers are cool and some are not so cool. And tons of them are apparently having sex. Oh man.
Last weekend I went to my cousin Jake's wedding. It was nice to see the Keelers as usual- I really enjoy my cousins. (Except for my cousin James- he is one of those Dartmouth brats, so I hate him! :-P)
On Tuesday I went with Matt, Dan, Christine, Justin and Dan's cousin Amanda to watch some soccer games- USA vs. Costa Rica and Canada vs. Cuba. We were sitting in a huge sea of "Ticos" (Costa Ricans) and they were quite rowdy- much more so than the few Americans we saw. It was a good 4 hours of soccer (including breaks and beer runs) and I had a lot of fun. I was also really happy to meet the girl with whom Matt wished to cuddle in my absence. Ok, sorry Matt, I have to tell the story for those who don't know it. Fall of 2003 Matt and I had become close and liked each other, but Matt was taking some time off from school so was at home. One night Matt and his friends drink quite a bit and in his sweet drunkenness Matt said to Amanda, "I really like Krista, but we can cuddle." Hahaha. Ok, I think it's funny anyway. (PS- Amanda- god, I hope that's her name and I'm not butchering this story- is really nice.)
Now I am working at Special Programs and the Pre-College Program, so life is pretty busy but mundane. Hopefully Matt and I will do something fun this weekend! And next weekend (the 22-23) I am going to New York City!!! I am going down Friday and hopefully hanging out with the London crew for the evening and then meeting up with my high school kids on Saturday at the Met and spending the day with them. Should be an awesome time! If you're in NYC and wanna hang out let me know!
Oh and last but not least- Becca Richard and I had a lovely chat last night. She's awesome and I'm glad that neither of us had unfair preconceptions about the other- and that neither of us hates the other. We had a lovely talk about sex, friends, 80's toys and blogs. She's a sweetie! :-D
Ok, that's it for the update for now. If you are a recent college graduate I think you too should hop on the blog band wagon (trust me, I never thought I'd say that) because it's nice to be able to keep up to date on each other's lives... and I'd enjoy stalking you all via internet! Heehee (I need something else to do on my night's off while I wait for Matt to get done with work!)
